Justin Meier was raised in Spokane, WA and has been in South Carolina for the last 10 years. He is a husband and father of three children. He worked in law enforcement for several years, before deciding to go back to school and obtained a degree in nursing. He found his calling in helping others, and has over 6 years’ experience in cardiology and emergency care nursing. He has been in the gym for a number of years, however; decided to do his first bodybuilding show in 2015 and has been a member of Team Hodge ever since. From that point forward, Justin has been working to improve his knowledge, health, conditioning, and career to cater to aiding others in their fitness goals. He is currently working to obtain his Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Carolina.
Justin also brings an interesting element to the team, as he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) as a teenager. He has performed countless hours and years of research of all different types of inflammatory conditions such as Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE), psoriasis, multiple sclerosis (MS), inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), thyroid disorders, diabetes, anemia, and celiac disease. He has been very successful at controlling RA through his research with proper nutrition and utilizing a physical lifestyle. He was even able to stop taking prescribed medication 10 years ago. He incorporates and shares his vast nutritional research with his clients in order to obtain health and wellness goals; while also improving their quality of life. Once school is complete, Justin plans on transitioning into the Classic Physique division.
